Kymme Napoli holds a Master of Science in Child Life from Bank Street College of Education and is a dedicated Certified Child Life Specialist with over 17 years of experience providing direct psychosocial care to children and families. As a Child Life Specialist in the emergency department, Kymme employs evidence-based interventions; including therapeutic play, procedural preparation, and developmentally appropriate education, to reduce anxiety, support coping, and promote emotionally safe, person-centered care during medical crises. In addition to her clinical work, Kymme serves as a clinical supervisor for child life interns and is committed to training the next generation of child life professionals. She also serves on the MCH Bereavement Committee, supporting families following the death of a child. She is a recent graduate of the H+H Simulation in Healthcare Education Fellowship, where her capstone project focused on enhancing emotional safety during pediatric emergencies for interdisciplinary teams. Kymme remains deeply committed to advancing the role of child life in pediatric emergency medicine and to supporting initiatives that enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthen communication, and uphold the personhood of patients and families.
