1) Conference
Composed of 1 speaker and 1 coordinator. The speaker gives a 45-minute theoretical presentation on a broader topic in pediatric emergency. The coordinator introduces the speaker and highlights the importance of the conference theme.
The activity does not include a space for audience questions. There is a possibility to open for questions at the discretion of the activity coordinator.
2) Talk Show
Composed of 1 speaker, 3 debaters, and 1 coordinator. The speaker gives a 30-minute theoretical presentation on a controversial or contemporary topic in pediatric emergency. The debaters, who come from different medical services, discuss the topic based on literature and their own service experience.
There is a 40-minute space for audience questions, which are organized and distributed by the
activity coordinator to the speaker and debaters. Questions can be asked in person or virtually.
The activity coordinator may contribute by commenting on the presentation and participating in
the answers to the audience’s questions.
3) Round Table
Composed of 3 presentations of 30 minutes each on interconnected complete topics in pediatric emergency. There is a 30-minute space for audience questions.
Composed of 3 speakers and 2 coordinators. The coordinators organize and distribute the
questions to the speakers, which can be submitted in person or virtually. The activity coordinator
may contribute by commenting on the presentations and participating in the answers to the
audience’s questions.
4) On Target
Composed of 4 speakers and 2 coordinators. There is a presentation of specific aspects of a pediatric emergency topic, subdivided into 4 lectures of 20 minutes each.
There is a 30-minute space for audience questions.
The coordinators organize and distribute the questions to the speakers, which can be submitted
in person or virtually. The activity coordinator may contribute by commenting on the
presentations and participating in the answers to the audience’s questions.
