Dr. Tobias Straube is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and an attending physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Duke University Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, and completed pediatric residency at Tufts Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Duke University. Board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and General Pediatrics, his clinical and research interests include extracorporeal life support (ECLS/ECMO), hemodynamic monitoring, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in critically ill children. He is actively involved in critical care education and multidisciplinary simulation training.
