Dr. Leonardo R. Brandão is a paediatric haematologist staff of the division of Haematology/Oncology at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) since 2004. He is Professor of Paediatrics (University of Toronto (UofT) and Dalla Lana School of Public Health/UofT) and the Thrombosis Program director.
His main area of academic interest is paediatric thrombosis. He is also involved in global outreach activities with SickKids, promoting education and improvement of clinical care for children with thrombotic events from resource-limited countries, and responsible for the Takeda Latin American fellowship on Paediatric Haemostasis and Thrombosis.
