Itai Shavit is a Full Professor at the Hebrew University and Division Chair of Pediatrics at Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. His research focuses on procedural pain and sedation in children, emergency care simulation, and epidemiology of pediatric emergencies. He has published over 130 articles in leading medical journals such as JAMA, JAMA Pediatrics, and Pediatrics. Prof. Shavit is the Lead Researcher of the Israel Pediatric Emergency Research Network (ISPERN) and is the current Chairperson of the European Society for Emergency Pediatrics (EuSEP).
