During this interactive presentation, audience will discuss different processes use by clinicians to develop differential diagnosis, and who “fast thinking” and “cognitive biases” can lead to medical errors.

Most importantly, participants will be presented with different techniques used for trying to avoid medical errors in the practice of pediatric emergency medicine.

After these concepts are presented and discussed with audience, moderators then will introduce several clinical cases to demonstrate how experience physicians can introduce these biases and fast thinking in patient care.

At the end of presentation, participants will elaborate personal plans for introducing these concepts into their daily practices.
